{"id":5,"date":"2007-04-05T00:10:58","date_gmt":"2007-04-05T07:10:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/self-issued.info\/?p=5"},"modified":"2007-06-26T14:33:38","modified_gmt":"2007-06-26T21:33:38","slug":"who-are-you","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/self-issued.info\/?p=5","title":{"rendered":"Who are you?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On March 21st at Novell&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.novell.com\/brainshare\/\">BrainShare 2007<\/a> conference, <a href=\"http:\/\/virtualsoul.org\/\">Dale Olds<\/a> and I co-presented the session <em>&#8220;<strong>Who are you?<\/strong>  From Directories and Identity Silos to Ubiquitous User-Centric Identity&#8221;<\/em>.  <a href=\"https:\/\/self-issued.info\/presentations\/BrainShare_mbj+dolds_21-Mar-07.ppt\">Our presentation<\/a> was a brief history of digital identity solutions, ranging from a password per application to interoperable user-centric digital identity using the Information Card metaphor and several steps in between.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/self-issued.info\/images\/demo_self-issued_card.bmp\" align=\"right\" alt=\"demo self-issued card\" \/>The coolest thing in the session was the first public demo of the Bandit\/Higgins cross-platform Identity Selector.  During the demo Dale and I both used the same self-issued Information Card (that I created on the BrainShare show floor :-) ) to log into a Bandit relying party site, Dale from Linux and me with Windows CardSpace.  As Dale and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.whoireallyam.com\/\">Pat Felsted<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/virtualsoul.org\/blog\/2007\/03\/23\/all-your-infocard-are-belong-to-us\/\">blogged<\/a>, two days later the Bandits also demonstrated their selector running on the Mac.
